HIGH SCHOOL OF BUSINESS
High School of Business is designed to prepare you for college business programs. This means challenging you with real business problems and projects. Yes, you'll still learn the key concepts you need to know but you'll learn them in a way that enables you to see how these concepts are used...by using them yourself.
Be Challenged- Every course is written at an accelerated pace. You'll be challenged each step of the way. Your brain will hurt but through this you'll see first-hand the types of business issues that you'll face in college and then in your professional career.
Solving business projects and problems requires you to use math, English, communications and social sciences skills. Don't be surprised if you feel like shouting "I get it now", these projects show you why your math and English courses are so important.
ADMINISTRATIVE AND PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT
Administrative Support facilitates business operations through a variety of administrative and clerical duties including information and communication management, data processing and collection, and project tracking.
Learning Outcomes:
- Achieve knowledge and skills required to pursue a full range of career and postsecondary education opportunities.
- Use oral and written communications skills in creating, expressing and interpreting information and ideas including technical terminology and information.
- Know and understand the importance of employability skills. Explore, plan, and effectively manage careers. Know and understand the importance of entrepreneurship skills.
- Use of technical knowledge and skills required to pursue careers in all career clusters, including knowledge of design, operation, and maintenance of technological systems critical to the career cluster.
INTERACTIVE MEDIA
An instructional program that provides training in the area of interactive multi-media development that includes creating, designing, and producing interactive multimedia products and services and digitally-generated or computer-enhanced media.
Students enrolled in the Interactive Media Senior Institute will become competent in the areas of creating, designing, and producing interactive multi-media products and services. Students learn how to use multi-media technology to develop products and programs that will be useful in many areas of life, such as business, entertainment, mass communications and advertising. Skill areas include web design, computer-aided publishing, digital sound, digital video, digital photography, Power Point and graphics and animation.
Use Your Imagination- The expansive curriculum provides you with the foundation and knowledge you need for a solid design background.. Plus, you'll be creating your professional portfolio. Components include:
- Illustration
- Web Design
- Multimedia
- 2-D animation
- 3-D Modeling and animation
- Basic video editing
- Photography
- Traditional art skills
- Marketing concepts
